Conscious Yoga is a contemporary evolution of traditional yoga developed by Elias Brahmananda together with the team of the Conscious Yoga Academy. After more than a decade of offering deep and transformative yoga experiences with students around the world, it became clear that a new approach to yoga was emerging—one that honours the ancient traditions while integrating modern understanding of the body, energy systems, and consciousness. Classical yogic texts such as the Hatha Yoga Pradipika remind us that the free flow of prana is essential for spiritual development, stating that when impurities exist in the body, the movement of prana becomes restricted. While traditional yoga systems offer powerful methods to purify the body and mind, Conscious Yoga brings together a wider range of complementary tools designed to support and accelerate this process in a balanced and safe way. By integrating yogic techniques with breathwork, meditation, fascia awareness, sound healing, and energy practices, Conscious Yoga supports the gentle release of energetic and emotional blockages that may limit the natural flow of vitality and awareness


Inspired also by Paramahansa Yogananda’s interpretation of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, where “yoga chitta vritti nirodha” can be understood as the neutralisation of energetic disturbances within the spinal system, Conscious Yoga focuses on restoring harmony within the subtle energy pathways of the body. Through years of guiding students through this process, we have repeatedly observed that when these blockages are released, a natural upliftment of the human spirit occurs. Clarity, creativity, and a renewed sense of meaning often arise effortlessly as consciousness expands.
Conscious Yoga therefore aims to cultivate a new generation of yoga teachers and practitioners who are able to work skillfully with the energetic, emotional, and physical dimensions of transformation. The approach is particularly suitable for students who already have some experience in yoga, energy work, or healing practices and who feel called to explore a deeper dimension of the yogic path.
